CLINICAL FACILITIES
Students are having opportunity to have their clinical practice at parent hospital, community field & other affiliated hospitals.
(a) PARENTAL HOSPITAL
Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences hospital is a leading state-of-the-art Multi Speciality Hospital with 653 beds.
(b) AFFILIATED HOSPITAL
Students are also given permission to practice clinical skill in Rajiv Gandhi Maternity and Child Government Hospital, Puducherry,A New Beginning Psychiatric and De-Addiction Center, Lawspet, Puducherry,NIMHANS, Bangalure, Child Trust Hospital, Kancheepuram, Clunny Hospital,Puducherry
(c)COMMUNITY CLINICAL FACILITIES
College of Nursing students are given opportunity to participate in Immunization programmes, School health programmes, MCH programmes, Home visit, Street play, puppet show, role play, projects, health talk, mass health programmes, Nutritional assessment and cooking demonstration are carried out in areas attached to both rural and urban health centres. Apart from home visit students participate in the programmes and activities of the health centres namely Alankuppan and Anichakuppan rural and for urban Kalapet and Muthialpet.

Students get opportunity to be trained in one Primary Health Centre; Kalapet and one SubCentre; Aalankuppam.

Family folders are maintained and regular follow up is done for morbidity, underfive and antenatal, postnatal cases.

LIBRARY
Library is extensive, well ventilated and spacious with comfortable seating arrangements. There is a full time qualified and well experienced librarians who manages the library. There is a separate journal section. Our Library is computerized too, providing e-Library with internet facility.

College of Nursing has adequate transport facilities for the clinicals and community outreach programmes.

College of Nursing, PIMS strongly believes in maintaining a ragging free campus. Strict discipline is maintained among nursing students. This committee functions with a Judicial Committee where the representatives from each class get involved in supervision of students in maintaining discipline both in College and Hostel under the guidance of the following faculty members.
