Pediatric (Child Health) Nursing department aims to ensure quality education to students, in order to provide comprehensive care to the newborns and children who come with acute and chronic illness to the Pediatric Department. The student learning in this specialty is to help them to appreciate the child as a holistic individual and to develop skill to function as Neonatal and Pediatric nurses. Based on the vision and philosophy of the institution students are trained to give evidence based Nursing care so as to reach the unreached.

The activities of the department include:-

• Celebrations of Children’s day, Neonatal week
  
  World Breast feeding week, throuhg exhibitions, scientific sessions, quizzes, debates, role plays, health education and cultural program.
• The department also extends its service to the “Kiddies Nest” - creche, maintained to care children of the P.I.M.S family members.
• The Principal, faculty and student of this department work in co-ordination to up lift the quality of this institution.
