Hand Hygiene Campaign:
Hand hygiene campaign was conducted at PIMS by HICC
Committee from 11.1.2013 to 13.1.2013. Students & Faculty of CON
actively participated and won prizes. |

First National
Conference & Alumni Meet
*First National conference was held from 24.2.12 to
25.2.12 on the theme Nursing: Yesterday, Today and
Tomorrow”. Dr. Josephine Little Flower Registrar, TNNMC,
Chennai was the chief Guest. 565 Delegates from all over
the country participated in the conference.

AURA – 2012
AURA 2012 was conducted from 15.3.12 to 18.3.12 at PIMS in which Nursing
students actively participated in various committees.

NSS Programme
NSS Programme was conducted on 19.3.12 to 25.3.12 in Mathur village. Dr.
E.M.Rajan, SLO, NSS Puducherry was the chief guest. Dr. Kisku, Prof,
Pulmonary medicine, PIMs and Dr. Rebecca Samson, Dean, College of
Nursing, NSS Programme Coordinator were present during the programme.

Visiting Students
60 Students of Universal Nursing college, Bangalore had their
observational visit to P.I.M.S on 20.3.12 to learn about the
organizational pattern and administration & Infrastructure of College Of
Nursing.

SNA handing over ceremony was conducted on

Baccalaureate Service – 2012
Baccalaureate service 2012 was held on 19.4.12 for the graduating batch
2007 - 11 batch. Dr. JebaRaj Samuel, Director of Mission & Evangelism,
CSI Diocese of Madras gave the Message.

Graduation Ceremony was conducted on 20.4.12 for 2007-11 batch of BSc
Nursing students.

Entrance Exam for PG Program
The first batch of PG students had their entrance exam
on 13.07.12 and totally 33 students appeared. Among them 13 were
admitted for P.B.BSc (N) & 19 were admitted for M.Sc(N) Programme

World Breast feeding Week
World breast feeding week was celebrated from 01.08.12 to 07.08.12

MSc (N), P.B.BSc(N) Admission
First batch of Msc Nursing- 20 students, First
batch of PPBSC Nursing- 14 students and BSC Nursing students of 2012-13
batch were admitted. |
Faculty study Leave
3 Faculty were given study leave. 3 of them joined M.Sc(N) in PIMS with
service Obligation.

College of Nursing new building dedication program was held on 4.8.12.
Mr. Varghese Eapen , former chairman inaugurated the programme.
Dr. Jacob, Chairman, Dr. James J Gnandoss, Director Principal & Dr.
Rebecca Samson, Dean, College Of Nursing were present during the
programme.
