Security staff performed March Past. Certificates for
best performer of the year 2014 was issued by the Chief
Guest and the Program ended with Refreshment. |

Anniversary Celebration
Decennial Celebration was held on 09.04.14 between 10 am
to 1 pm at Auditorium PIMS. Dr. Ani Grace Kalaimathy,
Registrar, TNNMC, Chennai was the Chief Guest and the
programme was feliciated by Dr. K. Jacob, Chairman PIMS,
Dr. John Abraham, Director Principal, Dr. James J.
Gnanadass former Dierector Principal PIMS. Dr. Rebecca
Samsaon Dean, CON - PIMS, presented decemial report and
the program was ended with National Anthem. |

Thanks giving service held on 09.04.14 between
9 am to 9.15 am at Auditorium PIMS, for sharing
gratitude to God almight for the success of College of
Nursing 10th year Anniversary. Rev. Leo Samuel presbyter

Dept., former Dean CON CMC Vellore was the chief guest.

had personal inteview with Dean Madam in the afternoon

the schedule of Examination board Pondicherry University
the exam center was the Mother Theresa Institute of
Health Sciences, Puducherry. The Practical Exam was held
between 24.07.14 to 31.08.14 for all the speacility as
per the University schedule at PIMS. |

The Common Entrance test for Pondicherry
private paramedical College was held on manakula
vinayagar medical College,on 26.7.14 , 39 UG admission
candidates from PIMS - College of Nursing appeared for
CETPPPC - 2014. Mrs. Sujatha HOD Fundamental of Nursing

30.07.14. Candidates who were selected for counselling

Breast Feeding Week Celebration
The 22nd World Breat Feeding week was celebrated from
01.08.14 to 07.08.14 by College of Nursing and Dept. of
Paediatrics by focusing on the theme "Breast Feeding a
Winning Goal for Life!". Many students participated in
poster competition, Role Play, Health Talk and Quiz .
Various School students from 9th to 10th 11th and +2
standard also participated in Elocution on Breat feeding
theme at CON Conference Hall. On the last day of
Celebration, Prizes were distributed to the students.

gathering and Dr. Malrvizhi Vice Dean introduced all the
administrators to the New Batch students, Dr. Anil Purty
Registrar, explained about the admission process, Dr.
Zile Singh HOD Community Medicine gave felicitation to
the students. All other Administrators were present on

prayer song by SNA Choir followed by Ms. Linda Antony

Fund Report. Mrs. Jayasankari Assoc. Prof, Addl. Vice
Dean Introduced New SNA Office Bearers. The Special
Address was given by Dr. Rebecca Samson - Dean, CON,

Farewell for B.Sc (N) 2010- 14 Batch
Farewell celebration held for the outgoing
batch of B.Sc (N) 2010 - 14 on 08.08.14 beteween 04.00
to 06.00 pm in the Auditorium PIMS. The chief guest for
the IBYEOL 2014 was Dr.John Abraham Director Principal
PIMS. Special Address was given by the chief guest,
Momento was distributed to the outgoing students by
their Juniors. Prizes for lucky dip were distributed by
Dr. John Abraham Director Principal and Dr. Rebecca
Samson - Dean, CON, PIMS Junior students entertained the
seniors with various cultural Events. The programme was

CON- PIMS organized 3rd National Conference on1.10.14
with the theme of "Nosocomial Infections: A Menace for
Health Care Providers" sponsered by ICMR. Dr. Reba
Kanugo, M.D., Ph.d Dean- Research cum HOD Microbiology,
PIMS was the chief Guest. Scientific Sessions, Paper
Presentation & Poster Presentation were conducted. TNNMC

Community Orientation Program
Community Orientation Program for Bsc(Nursing) was
commenced on 03.11.14. Inagural function of COP at
Conference Hall (8 am), Mr. Zile Singh, HOD Community
Medicine was the Chief Guest. Bsc(N) Ist year students
were involved in Community Survey, to assess family
living experience, Market visit, Sub-centre/PHC visit in
Alankuppam village. Validictory function-COP was on
19.11.14 at 11.00 am. Mr. Thomas Alexander, Dean-Medical
Education cum HOD of Gastro-enterology was the Chief
guest. Ms. Sandhiya, Bsc(N) Ist year student presented
report on COP activities. |
Childrens day celebration
Children's day programme was celebrated in PIMS
Auditorium on 27.11.14 between 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm. The
chief guest was Dr. Susy Kurian, Professor, Departement
of Pathology. The programme was organized by Dr. Rebecca
Samson, Dean-CON and Dr. Isabella, Professor and HOD of
Pharmacology along with Chapliancy Dept. Staff children
participated in various activities such as carol,
medley, solo song, dance, skit, memory verses etc. All
the children were given a gift by the Institution for
their particiaption in the programme. |
